Development Of A Web-Based Population Data Information System Using The Rapid Application Development (Rad) Model

Abstract

The Population and Civil Registration Office (DisDukCaPil) of Tomohon City occasionally encounters challenges in managing population data due to technical errors or disruptions in its main system, which impede service efficiency. This study aims to develop a web-based backup information system to enhance the reliability of data storage. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was utilized in this study due to its capacity to adapt to rapidly changing requirements. Using a qualitative approach and a case study method involving observation, interviews, and documentation, the findings reveal that the developed system improves data reliability, minimizes the risk of information loss, and accelerates data access.
