Journal of Multidisciplinary Vocational (JOMVOC)

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Vocational (JOMVOC) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. Our publication ethics and publication malpractice statement is based on COPE's (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines.

1. Editorial Board Responsibilities

1.1 Publication Decisions
- The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which submissions should be published
- Decisions are based on the manuscript's scholarly merit, originality, and clarity
- Decisions are guided by the journal's policies and constrained by legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism

1.2 Fair Review
- Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual content
- Reviews are conducted without regard to authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy

1.3 Confidentiality
- Editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts
- Unpublished materials may not be used in editors' own research without explicit consent

1.4 Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
- Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have conflicts of interest
- Editors must require all contributors to disclose relevant competing interests

2. Reviewer Responsibilities

2.1 Contribution to Editorial Decisions
- Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions
- Reviews should help authors improve their manuscripts

2.2 Promptness
- Reviewers should complete reviews within the specified timeframe
- If unable to complete a review, promptly notify the editorial office

2.3 Confidentiality
- Manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents
- Reviews must be conducted objectively
- Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate

2.4 Standards of Objectivity
- Reviews should be conducted objectively
- Views should be expressed clearly with supporting arguments
- Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate

2.5 Acknowledgment of Sources
- Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by authors
- Claims should be accompanied by relevant citations

3. Author Responsibilities

3.1 Reporting Standards
- Authors must present accurate accounts of their work and underlying data
- Manuscripts must contain sufficient detail and references
- Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior

3.2 Data Access and Retention
- Authors may be asked to provide raw data for editorial review
- Authors should maintain raw data for a reasonable period after publication

3.3 Originality and Plagiarism
- Authors must submit entirely original works
- Others' work must be appropriately cited or quoted
- Plagiarism in all forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior

3.4 Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
- Authors should not submit manuscripts describing the same research to more than one journal
- Publishing the same research in multiple journals constitutes unethical publishing behavior

3.5 Authorship of the Paper
- Authorship should be limited to those who made significant contributions
- All who made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors
- All authors should have approved the final version of the manuscript

3.6 Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
- Authors must disclose any financial or substantive conflicts of interest
- Sources of financial support must be disclosed

4. Research Ethics

4.1 Human and Animal Rights
- Research involving humans must follow relevant institutional and national guidelines
- Authors must obtain informed consent for human subject research
- Animal research must follow appropriate ethical guidelines

4.2 Research Data and Reproducibility
- Authors must ensure data accuracy and reproducibility
- Research methods must be described clearly
- Statistical analyses must be appropriate and accurately reported

5. Publication Ethics Issues

5.1 Dealing with Unethical Publishing Behavior
- Publishers and editors will take reasonable steps to identify and prevent publication of papers involving research misconduct
- If ethical concerns are raised about a published paper, the editor will investigate the matter

5.2 Corrections and Retractions
- When genuine errors are found, corrections will be published
- If misconduct is proven, articles will be retracted
- Retraction notices will explain the reason for retraction

6. Copyright and Access

6.1 Copyright
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication
- Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0)

6.2 Open Access Policy
- Journal provides immediate open access to its content
- Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts

7. Archiving

- Journal utilizes LOCKSS/CLOCKSS system to create distributed archiving system
- All content is preserved through multiple archives
